🌱 Driving end-to-end transparency in sustainability 🌱 To bring our Sustainability Ambition to life, we need reliable data, consistent measurement and end-to-end Hashtag#transparency. It is key to measure not only our own sustainability impact, but also enable our customers to understand and optimize theirs. 👉 A big step on this journey is the launch of the Henkel Environmental Assessment Reporting Tool (HEART). The novel digital solution allows us to easily share reliable Hashtag#CradleToGate product carbon footprint data with our customers for most of our Henkel Adhesive Technologies portfolio. By doing so, it gives us a strong basis to achieve our promise of delivering 100% end-to-end transparency on the sustainability of all our products according to leading standards by 2030.
Phase III of our Indian manufacturing facility in Kurkumbh is now complete, featuring the new Loctite plant! This expansion strengthens our local presence, supports India's growing demand for high-performance adhesive solutions, and reduces dependence on imports. The Kurkumbh site is LEED Gold certified and aims to be carbon neutral by 2030, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and the local community. 125 years ago today, Fritz Henkel acquired a piece of land in Hashtag#Düsseldorf-Holthausen, thereby laying the cornerstone for Henkel’s Hashtag#HQ. Since then, our site has been constantly evolving to create the best possible environment for innovation, creativity, collaboration, and growth. Today, it covers an area of 1.4 square kilometers with 370 buildings, three kindergartens, and dining facilities for our 6,000 employees, making it the largest Henkel site worldwide. ✨
Henkel publishes preliminary figures for the first half of 2024: After a very strong business performance in first half of 2024, Henkel raises its full-year earnings outlook. Based on preliminary figures, Henkel generated sales of around 10.8 billion euros. As in particular the adjusted return on sales and adjusted earnings per share exceeded market expectations, we raise our full-year earnings outlook: The adjusted EBIT margin rose to 14.9 percent, adjusted earnings per preferred share amounted to 2.78 euros in the first half of 2024 (+32.9 percent at constant exchange rates).
