      Great 401k match and vacation allowances including sabbatical at 10 years.

      Kontras

      This company used to really care about employees and work/life balance. That has all changed with the new CEO. He is ruthless and only cares about his quest to be number 1 in profits. Customers and employees dare not step into his path. Teams are being gutted and bonuses have been slashed across the board by 20%+. Swiss Re turned a $3.2 billion profit in 2024 but this is somehow not enough. Corporate greed has taken over and the CEO is steering us right into the storm.

      Great culture, people are helpful

      Over-engineering in making decisions. Lots of hoops to jump through to get things done.

      1. 12% 401k match 2. Amazing co workers in the trenches but this is rapidly changing as people look for the exits.

      Kontras

      1. Management - the new management team has a maximum personal bonus / profit only mindset. Cost cutting reigns. 2. Constant layoffs. No job is safe. 3. Company has offshored many jobs to India and is in a race to move key underwritering, engineering, claims functions to India as well. Overall, it feels more like a private equity gut job than a publicly traded company.
