We’re excited to announce that da Vinci SP has been launched in Taiwan. This launch expands the existing ecosystem of da Vinci Xi systems with a versatile, high-performance system that gives surgeons the ability to deliver robotic-assisted surgery through a single port—potentially opening the door to the next era of surgical innovation. Transforming surgery and increasing access around the world. That’s Intuitive.
This May, we’re proud to recognize Military Appreciation Month at Intuitive—and to honor the service, strength, and leadership of veterans across our company and community. Led by our VETS Employee Resource Group, this year’s theme—“Honoring the Past, Forging the Future”—reminds us that the values of resilience, teamwork, and purpose align deeply with Intuitive’s mission. As part of the month’s events, we were privileged to hear from Vietnam veteran and Super Bowl champion Rocky Bleier, whose story of courage left a lasting impact. With the help of the Intuitive Foundation, we’re supporting TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors), a nonprofit that provides compassionate care to those grieving the loss of a military loved one. As Memorial Day approaches, we reflect on the legacy of those who’ve served—and how their values continue to shape our work every day. “Honoring service is not only about looking back to those who have served before,” says Clinical VP and Executive Sponsor of VETS Scott Floyd. “It’s about leadership, resilience, teamwork, and strength that veterans bring into every part of their lives.” Thank you, veterans, for all you bring to our teams and to our mission. #WeAreIntuitive
Progress in cancer care doesn't just come from new technology—it also comes from collaborative relationships between innovators who share a patients-first mindset. At hashtag#ESTS2025, we’re proud to bring together leading voices in thoracic surgery for conversations on innovative topics like using da Vinci technology in lung cancer treatment and reshaping the surgical pathway with robotics. It’s all part of a bigger conversation we’re excited to be part of—one grounded in listening, collaboration, and transformative ideas. We’ll also be exploring da Vinci SP, our single-port robotic surgical system designed to expand what’s possible in minimally invasive care. Because even the most advanced technology achieves its greatest impact through collaboration. From the maneuverability and control that tools like the 8 mm SureForm 30 Curved-Tip stapler bring to the most confined anatomical spaces, to the connected insights and coordination enabled by platforms like SimNow, My Intuitive, and Intuitive Hub. We’re focused on building a collaborative ecosystem that helps surgical teams deliver the best possible care—every step of the way. Let’s talk about what’s next—and how we get there, together.
This May at Intuitive, we’ve celebrated Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with the theme, “Building Bridges, Embracing Our Diversity.” Led by our InPAC Employee Resource Group, employees came together to honor their rich cultural heritage and to explore how embracing our differences makes us better teammates and problem solvers. InPAC hosted an incredible panel where Iman Jeddi, Jade Kondo, Neeta Mhatre, and Jaime Wong shared their backgrounds and encouraged us to embrace our own uniqueness and lead with curiosity and empathy. And with the support of the Intuitive Foundation, we’re also raising funds for the Second Harvest Food Bank, an organization committed to ending hunger in our communities. A huge thank you to everyone in InPAC and across Intuitive who’ve made this API Heritage Month so memorable and inspiring. #WeAreIntuitive
When we first created SimNow, our goal was to empower surgeons at every stage of their career to practice their skills in a simulated and consequence-free environment. Everything you know and love about that experience is getting better with SimNow 2, the next evolution of da Vinci simulation—available on da Vinci 5. Train smarter. That's Intuitive. It celebrates a company that asks our people to show up every day with grit and humility and an effort worthy of the critical mission we’re all working toward. And it honors the people who make it possible—thousands of employees around the world, from Sunnyvale to Bangalore. Thank you, team, for all you do. At Intuitive, “Patients first, always,” is a founding principle. It’s stories like Joanne’s that bring that principle to life in meaningful ways. Joanne knew her family’s history of lung cancer put her at risk, so when a lung cancer screening scan showed that a suspicious lung nodule had grown, she took action. After a lung biopsy with the Ion robotic bronchoscopy system revealed stage 1 lung cancer, she was able to have minimally invasive lung surgery with the da Vinci surgical system. Through our technology and ecosystem of support, we’re honored to be helping physicians transform lung cancer care for patients around the world.
The impact of Ion on the lung cancer patient pathway. Building and scaling a multidisciplinary thoracic oncology program. Realizing the impact of da Vinci surgery. On the third day of hashtag#IntuitiveConnect2025 in Europe, physicians are working together to transform lung cancer care. We’re also talking about cost efficiency and our history of proven reliability. With 99% uptime, our da Vinci systems support surgeons across specialties as they treat as many patients as possible. This reliability isn’t an accident. It takes a village of people and an integrated ecosystem of products and services—all deployed and designed for predictability. When innovative technology solves real and important problems in the OR, we expand the potential of physicians to heal without constraints. That’s Intuitive.
We’re excited to announce that Intuitive’s Board of Directors has named Dave Rosa – a 29 year veteran of Intuitive – our new CEO effective July 1, 2025. Gary Guthart, who has led Intuitive for the past 15 years, will become the executive chair of our board— working closely with Rosa to support a smooth transition. We’re at an exciting time with immense opportunity to advance the work that customers care most about—the Quintuple Aim—improving patient outcomes, enhancing patient and care team experience, expanding patient access to care, and ultimately lowering the total cost to treat.
