Our Thoracic Oncology Mobile Experience—or TOME, for short—is more than just a truck. It’s a purpose-built experience designed to advance awareness of how Intuitive technologies may help reduce the time from lung cancer diagnosis to intervention. Screening for lung cancer is critical. Knowledge is critical. Not just in Athens, Georgia, but also across the U.S. That’s why we put TOME on wheels—so we can take our experience where it’s needed most. Thank you, St. Mary's Health Care System, for hosting us and sharing the wonder of innovation with local students from your community. This is what transforming lung cancer care looks like. This is where it starts.
How does your work make a difference? At Intuitive, our employees know the answer. No matter their role, they see how their work supports surgeons, empowers care teams, and ultimately helps patients get back to what matters most. That’s the impact we’re here to make—and why we never stop pushing for what’s next. Every breakthrough starts with someone who believes there’s a better way. If you're looking for more than a job—if you want your work to mean something—we’re hiring. Join us: https://lnkd.in/exQP6A9i #WeAreIntuitive
What if surgery could be less variable? More efficient? With a lower cost? Da Vinci 5, built to enable the future of AI and machine learning in surgery, with enhanced capabilities of My Intuitive+, is helping generate the meaningful insights needed to answer these questions. It all starts with a foundation of good data. Millions of data points physicians can leverage to inform clinical decision-making and raise the standard of care. Unlocking the power of surgical data—that’s Intuitive. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ezCbj72f
Lung cancer is the deadliest cancer worldwide. But does it need to be? We’re at hashtag#AATS2025 to help answer this question. In lung cancer care, time to intervention is critical. Ion enables clinical confidence to get early answers and accelerates program impact. Ion’s ultrathin, ultramaneuverable catheter allows clinicians to reach small lesions in all segments of the lung with more reach, precision, and stability. But our innovation doesn’t stop with biopsy. Da Vinci 5 is the most advanced and integrated surgical platform we've ever created—designed to enable better outcomes, efficiency, and insights and Da Vinci SP gives surgeons the ability to deliver robotic-assisted surgery through a single port. The challenges we face in lung cancer care are complex and ever-changing, so the technology evolves. That’s Intuitive.
This week, we took a moment to reflect on what 30 years of Intuitive really means—not in milestones or numbers, but in people. We heard from surgeons like Dr. Doug Stoddard of CHRISTUS Health, who shared how access to Intuitive’s technology is helping him reach underserved patients and advance health equity in his community. And we welcomed a very special guest, Dan Larson, a patient whose care journey brought him face-to-face with the teams behind the Ion and da Vinci systems that helped diagnose and treat his lung cancer. Dan’s visit was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Every innovation, every detail, every challenge we take on—it’s all in service of helping people get back to what matters most. A local news station captured the story and the spirit of the day beautifully. You can watch it below. https://lnkd.in/e8rARfvk We’re grateful to work alongside teammates—and our community of healthcare innovators—who make this kind of impact possible, and who are transforming care for all. How do hospitals increase access to minimally invasive care while sustaining growth and financial viability? We're exploring this question at hashtag#BeckersAnnualMeeting with ThedaCare's Lynn Detterman, Senior Vice President and President, South Region and Dr. Cynthia Geocaris, MD, FACS, Chair of Surgery and Medical Director of Robotics. ThedaCare’s goal is to provide equitable access to high-quality care for all their patients—no matter who they are, where they get care, or who their surgeon is. What's their approach to realizing this goal? Minimally invasive surgery as the standard of care. 24/7 multispecialty access to da Vinci surgery. Collecting and learning from clinical data. Leveraging that data to help increase efficiency, improve outcomes, and grow market share. Striving for a future of care that is less invasive and profoundly better. That’s Intuitive.
#AUA25 may be over, but the innovation is just getting started. We were so thrilled to introduce urologic and all SP surgeons to the next evolution of Intuitive da Vinci SP instruments. Our new instrument lineup includes Extended Range and Force Bipolar instruments that feature more freedom, more strength, and more choice. Surgeons wanted more from our previous generation of da Vinci SP instruments, and we listened. That’s what connection and collaboration are all about. That’s Intuitive.
At hashtag#AUA25, we’re talking about how we're transforming urologic surgery with da Vinci 5, the most advanced and integrated system we’ve ever created, and da Vinci SP, which enables the delivery of robotic-assisted surgery through a single port. Our goal has always been to empower surgeons with more choice. The right system for the right patient—that’s Intuitive. Dr. Ryan J. Nelson of the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, who joined us for our da Vinci SP showcase, had this to say: “I choose single-port surgery with da Vinci SP because I feel it offers enhanced perioperative and postoperative benefits to my patients, such as decreasing risks of complications by regionalizing the surgery, increasing same day surgeries, and resulting in faster recovery that could help reduce the need for narcotics. I think the new extended range instruments will increase surgeon satisfaction with greater range of motion and the addition of the force bipolar forceps, which shows that Intuitive continues to innovate and improve the da Vinci SP platform." Thank you to all the urologic surgeons who joined us over the last few days. We really are transforming surgery, together.
