Allie Othman supports Intuitive systems across the country, making sure they’re ready when surgeons and patients need them most. This morning, it was our pleasure to host the Phoenix-based Cybercat Robotics team at our Women in da Vinci Surgery Symposium. The truly inspired students explored IntegratEd, our hall of technology—getting hands-on experience with Ion, our platform for minimally invasive lung biopsy, and da Vinci 5, the most advanced and integrated system we’ve ever created. Students like these are the next generation of innovators—the people who will learn, grow, lead, and move the world forward. One of our most impactful and inspired events—Women in da Vinci Surgery Symposium—starts now. This annual gathering of surgeons and executives, who are dedicated to breaking barriers and supporting each other, began just seven years ago in Atlanta. Only six surgeons were in attendance. Women in da Vinci Surgery has since inspired regional and local meetings around the world. Empowered women empower women. During the 2025 Women in da Vinci Surgery Symposium, we heard stories of impact, hardship, resiliency, and change. We met powerhouse women leading the way in healthcare. We talked about self-belief and courage as key ingredients to success. We moved beyond great outcomes toward continuous improvement through the systematic collection and utilization of data. More than anything, we recognized our value in and out of the operating room.
