Our Mauritius team did not forget to give back to the community during the festive season. During the month of December, the Charity Committee partnered with the charity Planète Enfants Vulnérables and M-Kids Association to support underprivileged children and families on the island. Our colleagues donated 20 ‘Christmas baskets,’ full of basic necessities as well as clothes and school supplies, to distribute the baskets to 20 families. Thinking on how they could help further, the team purchased school materials to ensure every child had everything they needed for the next year in support of M-Kids Association’s initiative.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of James Bolton as Country Delivery Director and Andrew Edgington as Client Director for the Cayman Islands. At IQ-EQ, Country Delivery Director and Client Director are key senior roles to meet the growing demand for regional expertise and further strengthen the local senior management team as the Cayman office continues to grow.
With the coronavirus pandemic keeping our UK and Ireland offices working from home for the majority of the year, they decided to do what they could to help their local communities as much as possible. Over the course of the year they donated to a variety of charities, including Foodbanks, Children’s hospices, the Manila disaster relief fund amongst many others. They have also supported a number of staff individual causes. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, combined with additional amounts contributed by IQ-EQ there has been over £40,000 in donations to the charities across in UK and Ireland this year! Our Isle of Man office has once again supported the Isle of Man Foodbank's Reverse Advent Calendar initiative. Many were encouraged to donate items - including food, toiletries and treats - to help those most in need during the festive season. Thanks to the office's generous donations, they were able to fill the entire delivery van! A fantastic effort from all involved.

Our Mauritius office have continued to support those who were most affected by the devastating oil spill earlier this year. They have now partnered with local non-governmental organisation (NGO), Caritas Mahebourg, to donate several food packages to 23 families who were affected by both the COVID-19 crisis and the Wakashio oil spill.
Rounding off the year on a high, IQ-EQ is thrilled to announce its latest award win: ‘Trust Company of the Year (large firm)’ in the industry-leading STEP Private Client Awards!
