Pros
Pros - Gain experience getting on the phone and getting comfortable with overcoming objections. Gain experience juggling more than you think you can productively handle.
Kontras
Cons - I regret to report that while a lot of the reviews for Indeed are negative, they are true and should not be ignored. During my time at Indeed, I worked hard, did my best to build good relationships with my peers, and did my best to remain positive among all of the turmoil in the California office and company as a whole has had. The perception is that the environment in the California office has gotten bad over the last year or so, but the reality is that it has always been that way. The turnover has been an issue since the birth of the office. It is my strong opinion that it is a mistake to think that this environment has been created by the lower and mid-level management. The reality is that a big cause is the poor and disconnected upper leadership. People feel intimidated when resigning knowing how mid-level management will react. Leadership openly speaks poorly about reps that leave, even the reps that were top talent and worked hard everyday. Luckily those that have made the decision to leave drive away feeling relieved and that a toxic weight has been lifted off of them physically and mentally. Indeed continues to scratch their heads and question "why are you leaving?". It is insanity. To continue to treat people the same way after it has been more than clear that it doesn't work and yet expect different results. They are in denial that a person may actually want to leave to work for a better company culture, regardless if Indeed is looked at as a superior product. Fortunately, the bay area talent doesn't have to settle for Indeed's poor culture and mediocre pay. There are tons of companies out there with great products and most importantly healthy, strong, and positive work environments.
