Pros

free food, game room, casual dress code. Most people who work there really believe in the product.

Kontras

Zero on boarding. Have to learn as you go, then you get scolded for making mistakes. Incredible micro management, (having to copy your boss on most of your emails, getting scolded for making a decision before checking with your boss) too many people promoted to manager roles with no management experience or training, just massive egos. High turn over in some teams that just seems to keep happening and happening. (look on linkedin to see how many people lasted at indeed less than a year) – for some reason none of the top management asks “why the high turnover on certain teams?” With the Recruit acquisition, a lot of people are just cruising until they vest, cash out, and leave. Penny pinchers – when you travel, you have to share a hotel room, good luck getting a Mac for work Public ridicule – myself and my teammates were scolded publicly for every little mistake. Completely humiliating. If you leave the office before 6 pm you get called out for leaving early. Lack of professionalism – A lot of back stabbing and talking about people behind their backs. Zero professional growth opportunities, managers are bosses, not leaders. They don’t lead, inspire, or teach anything to their teams. Miserable place to work, I would not even recommend my enemies to work here.

Pros

I loved the talented people I worked with; I appreciated being appreciated; I loved helping employers hire; and I really thought this would be the company I retired from.

Kontras

The company culture changed significantly after it became publicly traded; I didn't particularly care for how they handled layoffs; they didn't always act on the feedback they received; and they were slow to jump on the AI train.
