Pros

They gave a toothbrush when they bought our company out. That’s it from a company aspect You’re so busy being drug through the mud, your coworkers become family since we’re all suffering together.

Kontras

Philips bought our company a few years ago to help pull them out of their financial issues from their own product. We were promised raises, bonuses, etc. haven’t seen a single bonus, just did our yearly merit increase and our department couldn’t even get close to a 3% raise, they’re trying to add the Philips processes (which make no sense and is doubling our workload), last week we had a work from home incentive added based on the amount of overtime you work and this week they took 3/5ths of the overtime possibilities away from us, the best people in our department keep quitting and so far no one has been replaced so people are getting extra work for no extra pay now also. Work life balance is great since there is no overtime opportunities anymore, but just means you have to get a second job. I will say they try with culture and diversity.

Pros

- Easy commute if you live north of Seattle/Bellevue - Decent cafeteria - Decent compensation

Kontras

- The level of apathy amongst colleagues is off the charts. Many people are simply coasting and collecting a paycheck. When you try to be a team player and pick up the slack, you simply become a target for blame. - Due to the extremely lax "return to office" policy, the office often feels quite empty when there is plenty of work to be done. Being onsite M-F often leads to more work with little support. - There is a culture of public shaming, with several meetings every week dedicated to project leads targeting individuals to make up for their own lack of technical understanding.
