big company, lots of resources possible to find a job withing company (depending on your type of work) but may have to accept a pay cut

Not much advancement instability (lay offs), usually for acquired companies to bring in cheaper labor lack of direction waste too much time, everything is self-service, not much local support for HR,IT, .. winter shut down (have to take vacation time)
