Pros

1. Ability to make your own schedule 2. Depending on the certification, incentives on busy days if you pick up enough commits

Kontras

1. Since we are independent contractors, if you have technical issues with a clients software, its counted against you. For example, I was logged in ready to take my commit and then I couldn't get into the phone system. I had to release my commit but no one was able to pick it up because it was too close to the start time. Me not servicing that commit and no one being able to pick up, counted against my commit adherence. 2. Sometimes there are not enough commits available. The client that I currently service is a very busy line, throughout the entire year. But, Liveops keeps having a class for this client and it's not enough commits to select. This makes me think this is strategically done on Liveops end. 3. Sometimes completing e-learning can be a hassle when some of the slides have old information that was never updated. However, I did notice (for the first time) that when I was in certification we had the option through the e-learning to submit feedback on the actual e-learning 4. Sometimes the trainers can be rude 5. No benefits which make sense as we are independent contractors. However, there are resources that will help with life insurance, health, vision, and dental. 6. Although Liveops says we are our own business, we still have a set of rules we must follow. 7. Certification is not paid

Pros

It’s a job. Cool avenue for a little bit of side money.

Kontras

Getting shifts is hard. They tend to over-saturate the contracts so you’ll start off getting access to shifts but then it’ll stop because they have too many training classes back to back. They’ll also kick you off of a contract for anything even when the system issues are on their end or the clients end. The pay schedule also sucks it’s semi-monthly but behind so you don’t get paid in a timely fashion. You want a faster way to access some side money you’re better off applying to Amazon or Home Depot or something an employer who quick hires and puts you on a rapid pay schedule.
