Most large companies give lip service to their "internal development opportunities" but Genentech really does try to make rotations and other non-core work available. People treat each other with respect (for the most part); teams succeed or fail together.
Kontras
There are managers and functional groups with toxic managers and culture. The company does not seem to get rid of toxic leaders; these people tend to get sent elsewhere in the company once complaints reach the point of disrupting business. Get rid of them.
