Deloitte talks a big talk in the market place, but it's actually just a sweatshop. Most people there have no industry experience and don't actually have any perspecitive on best practice outside of what they know from Deloitte. It is a very hierarchial. This leads to good junior staff being stuck on making PowerPoint slides endlessly. Those slides will go through 10 versions of revision to choose the "right" images, without any thought to the actual content. I was expecting to work with very smart people, but they really are not. Every task is highly micromanaged, get used to daily stand ups at 9.30am for 30 mins where you need to go into detail on what you're doing that day! Instructions are frequently unclear. Deloitte promises "flexibility" at interivew and their website, but in reality they want you in the office all the time and if you don't, you won't get promoted - they have an extremely old school approach to management! People in the office are extremly unpleasant, most will never smile or say hello to you.
