Thank you for helping us grow over the last 5+ years that you have been with Commvault. I agree Commvault is a great place for those who want to go above and beyond and don’t box themselves in. I agree with you that sometimes there is a miss with collaboration between departments and as we are moving through this transformation we have that front of mind as a leadership team. Your point on great experts don’t necessarily make great managers is a good one. While we strive to create career opportunities for our internal talent including a quite extensive set of development activities for those that aspire to transition into management, we also must acknowledge when we don’t have management ready internal candidates and in those cases hire from the outside. We actually did a study recently looking at the manager hires over the past 3 years and found that we have had a 50/50 split between internal promotions and external hires though with some variance between the various parts of the business.
