A good starting bonus (signonbonus in my case 313 gross/Month x 18 month) added to FIP plan, lots of opportunities, promote self development.
Kontras
Getting a raise "the old fashion way" is a no go. W.a.w doing a good job in general is not enough to earn a raise. Expectations are at least one diploma/attest for self development. But even when these criteria are met, a raise is often a hard point to discuss. (Vocal) Promises during salary negotiations of keeping the signonbonus as constant in paycheck when 18 months are passed. Upon request (after 18 months) are ignored or denied. So good sales trick.
