You always hear the horror stories about how insane amazon can be for a software developer. I can't speak for the whole company, but my current team has been pretty relaxed overall. The job isn't easy, but I still only clock in 40-45 hours a week. It's a great place to grow as a developer.

It's not easy, but to be honest for how much they pay you it's not surprising. The work isn't overbearing, but it is there.
