The total compensation package with salary, signing bonuses and stock is hard to beat. Survivors can move up quickly.

The signing bonuses are meant to trap you into staying for the first two years if you decide it is not right for you. Managers work long, hard hours making work/life balance very difficult. Senior management practices confrontational and public feedback versus constructive feedback. Not for the weak or timid and you must drink the koolaide to survive. High manager turnover and I saw many talented people leave before I chose too.
