      Bewerbung

Ich habe mich online beworben. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im Nov. 2012 bei Core In-Store Solutions (Charlotte, NC)

      Vorstellungsgespräch

I could not find any info on this company, so I thought I would right this in case anyone has the same problem as me. This is a branch off company in Charlotte. The name of the company that started everything is called SMART CIRCLE. Look this name up, because you will find out what the company REALLY is, and see a ton of reviews and ripoff reports on it. I thought the position I applied for was very misleading. The website talked about how the company deals with in store promotions, and I just thought that meant they help design and set up promotions for products in certain stores. That is not the case. What they actually do is have people go into stores like Best Buy and Sam's Club and try to sell DirecTV to customers that are in the store. No offense, but I didn't go to college to sell DirecTV to Best Buy customers. It is called "soft sales" and the person I had my second interview with said that 99 out of 100 people will turn you down for getting DirecTV. You make money based off commissions, but if you do not sell enough they will still pay you minimum wage for the week. He also told me there are NO benefits until you are promoted. That just doesn't make sense to me, and I would not feel comfortable with having no benefits for that long, seeing as you will have no way to know how long it will take you to be promoted. To get promoted you have to sell so many contracts individually and as a team. They make it sound like it would be somewhat easy, but after finding out the mother companies name, I see that it would be a very bad idea to join a company like this. I also see that they will pretty much offer anyone the job too. Hours are Thursday through Tuesday, 10:30 to 7:30. Only one day off. I had two interviews. First was at the office in Charlotte, where the assistant manager asked me a couple questions and a short overview of the company, while someone who is supposedly getting promoted to assistant manager also sat in. Pretty easy questions, and he made it seem like if I liked the second part of the interview I would get the job. Something I found strange was he did not ask me if I had any questions at the end of the interview. The second interview, I met someone at the office and then had to follow this person to the Best Buy in Mathews (about 20-30 minutes from the office). He then just told me about the pay system and some more about the company. I didn't see him go up to anyone at Best Buy and try to seel them DirecTV or anything, so I don't really even know the point of me having to go to this Best Buy. I could have been told everything at the office. You also do not get compensated for any gas mileage for traveling to these stores. All out of pocket. They then said they would call me between 3 and 4 that day and let me know if I got the job or not. Never heard from them during that time. Then the next day, which was a Saturday, the manager called me at 7:30 at night and left me a vociemail offering me the job. That was something else I did not like, telling me they would call me at a certain time and they did not. Not very professional.
