Our latest Veteran Salute features Site Supervisor Toby Roberts of the Roanoke region. Toby joined the Sunstates Security team when services were transitioned to us at the large, high-traffic facility in Kingsport, TN, in 2021. Toby is deeply familiar with the site; he has been working as a member of the security team there since 2001. In addition to his industry knowledge, Toby’s eight years in the military gave him valuable tools that help him in the contract security field. Toby served five years on active duty with the Army and three years in the National Guard. When asked about his experience with Sunstates, Toby highlighted the company's hands-on approach, positive culture, and strong support system. He expressed gratitude for feeling valued and cared for. Thank you, Toby, for your dedication to your site and our company and for your years of service. Sunstates partners with the ESGR and is actively hiring those who served.
