In mid-November, SOLV Energy and Primergy Solar team members connected with the communities surrounding the partners' Ash Creek Solar project in Hill County, Texas. As part of a collaborative school transformation effort with Heart of America, employee-volunteers got to work at Abbott and Penelope Independent School Districts to improve learning and play spaces at the K-12 schools. Throughout the day, we took a break to talk with some of the project partners, including SOLV Energy CEO George Hershman, Primergy Development Associate Ashlynne Hobcroft, HOA's Jill Hardy Heath and the Superintendent of Abbott ISD. SOLV Energy joined Arevon, San Diego Community Power and community members in Holtville, CA to celebrate Vikings Solar-plus-Storage, one of the nation's first solar peaker plants now in operation in Imperial County. The project utilized components made in America from suppliers including Nextracker Inc. and Tesla, and employed more than 250 local union workers. We're grateful to Arevon for their partnership on this project and in the community. Congratulations to all involved in Vikings' success!
