We recently celebrated one of our extraordinary nurses, Chinnu, who received the Pediatric DAISY Award. Nominated by patients and families, the DAISY Awards honor nurses for their exceptional patient-centered care. Families shared how her compassion, calm presence, and clinical skills made them feel safe --and even inspired future nurses. We are proud to celebrate the nurses who make moments like these possible. Join Memorial Hermann and make a difference.
Evelyn graduated from Memorial Hermann's Radiologic Tech to Mammography Tech Program this fall and is currently working at Memorial Hermann Breast Care Center at Katy Hospital. "I am beyond grateful I have had this opportunity to transition to a mammo tech. The program is a great way to advance your career in a short amount of time and as a working mom, I was in search of a way to be able to go into mammography without having to miss out on pay. The whole process was smooth and I enjoyed how it was on-the-job training. Everyone here in the breast center has made me feel very welcomed. I would one hundred percent recommend this program to anyone wishing to further their career."
Sandra is a RN at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital in the Pre-Admissions Testing Unit and was able to receive her BSN thanks to the Memorial Hermann Foundation Scholarship to Advance Nursing Education. "Having the additional financial support allowed me to cut my hours without having to take paid time off. I enrolled in the fast-track 12-month RN-to-BSN program and worked part-time hours but still had a full-time paycheck. I learned a lot about hospital management and operations, information I didn’t learn in nursing school and it gave me a different perspective on why nursing is so important." The Memorial Hermann Foundation Scholarship to Advance Nursing Education supports employees across all nursing pathways: PCT to LVN, LVN to ADN/RN and RN to BSN. We are proud to empower our nurses at every stage.
