Lessen Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month From September 15 to October 15, we proudly join the nation in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month — a time to honor the rich heritage and cultural diversity of Hispanic and Latine communities across Spain, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. This year’s theme, “Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future,” reflects the resilience, history, and future contributions of these communities in the United States. At Lessen, we believe every voice matters and every story deserves to be celebrated. Our Employee Resource Group, Unidos, creates space for Latino Lesseners to connect, share experiences, and educate the broader community about the diversity of our cultures and generations. Unidos also extends its impact to our customers, Affiliates, and communities through advocacy and volunteer efforts. Our employees describe Unidos as a place where “our Latinidad can be celebrated, and that kind of support is part of what makes Lessen such a great place to work.” Others share that “Unidos gives us the opportunity to highlight and celebrate our cultures while also educating peers and fostering a better sense of community.” Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month reflects our ongoing commitment to inclusivity and representation — values that define how we work, collaborate, and grow together.
This September, our Chicago and Scottsdale offices turned up the competition with back-to-back ping-pong tournaments. The rallies were fierce, and the energy was contagious as teammates battled for the title of office champion. From unexpected upsets to unforgettable rallies, the tournaments were a great reminder of the teamwork, energy, and fun that fuel our culture. At Lessen, we bring that same spirit to how we collaborate and grow together—on and off the court.
National Dog Day At Lessen, we believe great teams are built on connection—and sometimes that means celebrating the little things that bring us joy. 🐾 For National Dog Day, our employees shared photos of their furry friends, filling the day with wagging tails, big smiles, and plenty of “awws.” It was a fun reminder that our culture values both hard work and the people (and pets!) who make life brighter. Looking to join a team that celebrates wins, big and small? Come grow with us at Lessen!
IMN SFR Conference Our team had a fantastic time at the IMN SFR Conference in Austin, Texas last week! At Lessen, we’re not just keeping pace with the industry—we’re shaping it. Events like IMN give our people the chance to connect with peers, stay ahead of market trends, and bring back new ideas that drive impact for our customers. A big shoutout to Chris Bauman and Allan Martinez for representing Lessen and showing how collaboration, innovation, and customer focus are at the heart of what we do. If you’re looking to join a team that thrives on industry connections, continuous learning, and growth, Lessen is the place to be.
Back-to-School Season is here, and at Lessen we love celebrating milestones—big and small—with our teams! This year, our employees shared adorable first-day-of-school photos of their kids, and it was such a joy to see all the smiling faces, new backpacks, and school-day excitement. From zipping up lunchboxes to hopping on the big yellow bus, these moments remind us how much family and community mean at Lessen. At Lessen, we’re proud to foster a culture where we celebrate not only professional wins, but also the personal milestones that matter most. Want to be part of a workplace that values connection, fun, and family? Come grow with us at Lessen!
Extending Our Impact – Chicago Edition In addition to the incredible work our Scottsdale team did with Family Promise, our Chicago team recently partnered with Ignite Promise, an inspiring organization dedicated to supporting youth experiencing homelessness through stable housing, mental health resources, education, career planning, and more. Our volunteers spent hours gardening, landscaping, and planting to help beautify the space for Ignite Promise’s residents. We also returned for their 50th Anniversary Back to School Carnival, where we served food, ran carnival games, and connected with the community in a day full of joy and celebration. A huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves, gave their time, and brought their energy to make these events a success. At Lessen, we’re proud to stand alongside organizations like Ignite Promise — and to have teams who are passionate about making a lasting difference.
Making a Difference in Scottsdale – Together At Lessen, we believe that creating meaningful change goes beyond the work we do for our clients — it’s also about showing up for our communities. As part of our Lessen Lending Hands corporate volunteer initiative, our Scottsdale team partnered with Family Promise of Greater Phoenix, a remarkable organization that supports families experiencing homelessness with safe shelter, stable housing, and a caring community. We had a great time rolling up our sleeves — organizing toys and cleaning up storage areas — to help Family Promise create a more welcoming and functional space for the families they serve. Even those who couldn’t attend in person found ways to contribute. Remote employees and others were able to donate school supplies and baby wipes — items that Family Promise always appreciates.
At Lessen, we believe the best ideas come from collaboration, creativity, and a willingness to explore what’s possible. Last week, we brought that spirit to life during our 2nd Annual AI Hackathon, hosted at our Chicago office. Over two and a half days, teams from across the company came together with our Product, Design, and Engineering groups to build AI-powered solutions that reimagine how we work and serve our customers. With a focus on real-world challenges and customer needs, participants developed working prototypes using the latest AI tools and technologies. This event is just one example of how we empower our teams to innovate, take risks, and shape the future of our industry. If you're excited by the idea of building meaningful solutions in a fast-moving, collaborative environment, Lessen is the place for you.
Lessen’s Chicago team took a well-earned break from the office to soak up the summer vibes at their Summer Happy Hour on June 26 at the Island Party Hut on the iconic Chicago Riverwalk. With scenic views, refreshing drinks, delicious bites, and even better company, it was the perfect way to celebrate a year of hard work. The event brought out the team spirit—with employees proudly representing in their Lessen-branded swag, from hats to t-shirts. Just a short walk from the office, this gathering reminded us how fun it is to come together, unwind, and appreciate the journey we’re on as a team.
The BEN Employee Resource Group at Lessen celebrated Juneteenth by organizing a Soul Food Potluck for all team members. Held a few days ahead of the holiday due to scheduling, the event invited employees to bring traditional soul food dishes and share in a community meal. To further honor the spirit of the day, food was also catered from local Black-owned businesses. The celebration emphasized the cultural roots of soul food in African American heritage and its role in telling stories of resilience and creativity. The event also served to reflect on the significance of Juneteenth, marking the end of slavery in the U.S. and honoring the enduring pursuit of equality. Ultimately, it was a gathering centered on food, unity, and appreciation of African American culture and history.
