As we continue to highlight our team members during (AAPI) Heritage Month, we are excited to shine a light on Lauren Tu. Lauren has been a key member of our Product Design team. "My grandparents all immigrated to the US from Taiwan in the 50’s, and brought with them lots of stories, recipes, and cultural values. It’s a gift to be able to bond over these with my family and others who share similar experiences and backgrounds! My parents taught us to have a strong work ethic and the importance of taking care of others. In the workplace, I use these values by striving to be a team player and making sure everyone’s voices are heard. My favorite part about working at January is the culture of positivity, growth, and hard work. I really appreciate the resources and support January provides us to be able to do our best work." We celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month with another team member spotlight, Rishab Gupta! "As an Indian American immigrant, it's been a joy to grow up with two cultures. Even though I moved to the US when I was only 4, I've held my Indian heritage very closely. Growing up, I internalized their values and lessons from favorite stories from Indian mythology. My parents taught me about the importance of hard work and helping those who are less fortunate. As I've grown older, I've come to appreciate Indian history, film, music and meditation. Combining the values I've learned from my heritage and the ones I learned my life in the US has allowed me to forge a unique identity that I am lucky to share with many Indian Americans and immigrants......(continued)" Thank you Rish for sharing and bringing all of your experiences to January as we continued to tackle our shared vision of changing the debt collection industry for good.
