In our relentless pursuit of transforming the future of lung cancer care, we are proud to announce our seventh-generation software for Ion. This new generation of software is designed to further help physicians achieve navigational accuracy from start to finish. Since debuting in 2019, the Ion system has continually evolved through listening, learning, and innovating with our customers. This release, which will be unveiled at the hashtag#CHEST2025 Annual Meeting, represents a major milestone in our journey. It features the addition of AI-powered navigation software, machine-learning-based cone-beam CT algorithms, and tomosynthesis integration that further strengthen our advanced imaging portfolio. Early detection matters, and Ion enables physicians to biopsy even the hard-to-reach nodules. Innovations that propel us forward — That's Intuitive. Sometimes training and education looks like an evening symposium with experienced surgeons. Other times, it looks like more than 200 residents competing in surgical skills exercises to demonstrate their abilities. Over the weekend at hashtag#ACSCC25, 8 resident teams competed across technical stations that tested teamwork, decision-making, and clinical execution. In their final key skills test, the teams went head-to-head on a da Vinci 5 system to complete an inguinal hernia repair. Congratulations to all the teams for their grit and determination, and especially to Christina Shields, MD and Joshua Crapps, MD, the Longhorn Legends Team, from The University of Texas at Austin for taking home the gold. In the next generation of surgeons, we find the key to transforming healthcare across the globe. That’s Intuitive.
