Fidelis Care sponsored a Rural Mobile Medical Unit Health and Wellness Initiative event in Brockton, NY, hosted by the Brockton Central School District and Southwestern Independent Living Center, Inc. Representatives from the New York Fire Department (NYFD) visited our Jackson Heights Community Office to hold a CPR training session for Fidelis Care staff. Employees were instructed in proper defibrillator use, chest compressions, rescue breathing, and how to manage emergency situations. Thank you, NYFD, for helping us keep our community safe.

In observance of Counseling Awareness Month, Fidelis Care staff visited behavioral health grant recipient Ardent Solutions, Inc. in Allegany County. Counseling Awareness Month highlights the importance of mental health and the role of counseling as a tool to well-being. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or encouraging a friend, counseling can offer a positive impact. The Fidelis Care grant supports the Ardent Solutions First Step Family Resource Center’s Sensory-Friendly Learning Center, which allows children with sensory-related issues to play and learn in a calmer environment.
Fidelis Care and Wellcare sponsored an Iftar dinner at the Muslim Community Center (MCC) in Brooklyn for those observing Ramadan to break their fast. This marks our second year of bringing the Muslim community together to share a meal and engage with one another. Thank you to all those who attended!
