Learning on the Job: How Beloved Homecare Trains and Supports New Carers Thinking about a care assistant job in Trafford and worried you will be thrown in at the deep end? At Beloved Homecare, an at-home care provider in the Trafford borough of Greater Manchester, training and support are built into everything we do. We provide care at home across Urmston, Sale, Altrincham, Timperley, Hale and Stretford, so you work in the community, visiting people in their own homes. That is why our induction is structured, not rushed. After your conditional offer and checks, you complete online learning in safeguarding, infection prevention and person-centred care. You then attend a three-day classroom and practical induction at our Trafford office, covering personal care, moving and handling, communication, digital care plans, and precise record-keeping. Next comes shadowing. You complete a series of shadow shifts with experienced carers. At first, you observe, then you gradually lead parts of the visit with support. In your first 12 weeks, you work through the Care Certificate standards, with observed practice and competency checks. Only when you and we feel ready do you begin phased solo visits, with shorter local runs and on-call support. Training continues all year, including refreshers and condition-specific sessions such as dementia and stroke recovery. You do not need previous care experience, just kindness, reliability and a willingness to learn. We will teach you the rest.
