BBVA has appointed David Conde as Country Manager of BBVA Switzerland. Conde joined the bank 30 years ago and, until now, was Head of the retail and high-value client segments at BBVA Spain. This appointment is subject to the corresponding regulatory approvals. During his career at BBVA, David Conde has held various positions of responsibility in the retail banking area, including Head of management frameworks, Commercial Director, and Regional Director. In his new role, David Conde succeeds Alfonso Gómez, who is bringing to a close a long and successful career of more than 31 years at the BBVA Group. With more than 50 years of history and 130 employees, BBVA Switzerland is a benchmark in international private banking, with a client-centric business model and technology as a key element in addressing the transformation currently taking place in the financial industry. Jaime Lázaro, Head of BBVA Asset Management and Global Wealth, said: “We thank Alfonso for all the work he has done to drive and strengthen BBVA’s business in Switzerland, and we wish David every success in this new chapter.”
There’s something powerful about taking a moment to pause ☕️, reflect and make sense of the journey. When it all clicks, you start to see the role each of us plays in shaping BBVA’s purpose and identity. 🧩 It’s not just how things look or sound, but a shared mindset we bring to life. At BBVA en Suiza, this took shape through a series of sessions on #brand and personal branding that brought these ideas closer to our day-to-day. A real pleasure to have Müjde Öztürk, Pablo Morán López, Concha de Anta and Monica Abad from BBVA with us. Thank you for the energy and inspiration you shared. #GoFurther
Some moments reflect years of work, and this is one of them. 🏆 At BBVA in Switzerland, we are proud to have been recognised at the Euromoney Private Banking Awards 2026 as “Switzerland’s Best for Digital Assets”. Behind this recognition there is a clear vision, strong commitment and a team driven by rigor, innovation and long-term thinking. We keep building! #EMAwards #EMPrivateBanking
The best interviews don’t start with a great question, they start with genuine curiosity. 🎙️ And, just like in journalism, in #PrivateBanking truly understanding someone begins with knowing how to listen. In this video from Aprendemos juntos, journalist Leila Guerriero reflects on the power of good conversations and how thoughtful dialogue helps surface what really matters: https://lnkd.in/eydtCPcV
✨ Digital excellence is a team effort, and it pays off! We are incredibly proud that BBVA en Suiza has been named #DigitalSolution of the Year at the Private Banking & Wealth Management Switzerland Awards in Zurich. This marks the third consecutive year we have received this honor, validating our commitment to private banking built on trust, clarity, and innovation. Big thanks to Arena International Events Group for a fantastic night for our industry.
In Spanish, there’s a beautiful distinction between “Ser” (to be) and “Estar” (to be present). It’s a reminder that #empathy is about, genuinely: listening, trusting, guiding, explaining, delegating, inspiring, sharing, or simply being there, for others. This week at BBVA in Switzerland we all stepped away from our desks to join the workshop "Connecting from empathy: The power of authentic conversations”. We were fortunate to be guided by Sandra Díaz Leonardo and Monica Perez-Zorrilla Subirats, who challenged us to reflect on what it truly means to have authentic conversations: listening to understand, showing genuine interest, and embracing hashtag#emotions as valuable information about ourselves and those around us 🤝 A huge thank you to Sandra and Mónica from Escuela Europea de Coaching, for your energy, insight and inspiration. And also thanks to BBVA for making emotional wellbeing a real priority in our culture.
