AccentCare’s pet therapy program brings comfort and joy to patients like Gordon in Indiana. After 73 years of marriage and a lifetime of caring for animals, Gordon and his wife Jean found companionship in Cora, a 3-year-old mini golden mountain doodle. Their visits are full of stories, belly rubs, and happiness—plus treats for Cora! 🐾💙

The holidays can be hard for grieving families, but our AccentCare hospice teams bring comfort through meaningful legacy projects like memory bears and quilts. 🧸💙 Elizabeth Lobato from Miami shared how a memory bear made from her mom’s belongings became a heartfelt reminder: “Even though my brother and I are adults, having this memento means so much. It makes us feel closer to [Mom]; the tactile experience brings her into our arms. I’m so grateful for the volunteers who dedicate their time to this.” ✨ Thank you to our volunteers and teams for making a difference this season.❄️ #LegacyProjects #MemoryBears #HealthCareHeroes
At our recent Camp Kangaroo in LA, our children's bereavement camp, we witnessed the power of healing, hope, and connection.💙 Our campers found comfort in each other, shared their stories, and learned new ways to navigate their grief through sentimental activities. Together, we are creating a community where no child has to journey through loss alone. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special weekend possible. Keep an eye out for upcoming Camp Kangaroo events near you!
