- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++ or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- 2 years of experience in performance optimization.
- 1 year of experience with debugging, troubleshooting and monitoring systems.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.

- Work on serving and indexing infrastructure that is currently serving millions, identify bottlenecks and deploy robust solutions.
- Design, implement and execute a robust roll-out plan for the multiple components involved in model refreshes.
- Work with clients inside and outside of Search to understand their requirements and define their deployment strategy.
- Evaluate and analyze the performance of the various infrastructure components to identify their limitations and avenues for improvement.
- Collaborate with software site reliability engineers and core on designing and implementing best practices to improve the existing Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure.
