The business is too small, and due to the risk adverse culture you will not grow or learn key management techniques. - Micro Management - This comes back to the confidence and trust management they have in the people they hire i.e. there is non! In general, this is a family run business by a husband and wife who are actually quite likeable people. Unfortunately the business has stood still for too long, they have not evolved.
