Pros
Many experienced and talented employee's always lead to a positive work environment, however, today I am reaching out to review how the company made me feel during the aftermath of a recent hurricane that devastated my neighborhood and impacted my ability to work. This is a big company and my position is completely remote. Our communication has been primarily through the internet in a variety of ways, much like the communications we have with the clients we serve. It has never left me feeling isolated and our teams function in many of the same ways we interacted prior to moving to remote. I actually think it has allowed me to connect even more to team members and just as importantly our clients in a way that is becoming more of todays normal than the way we had done it before. During the hurricane, I lost my power, I lost my internet access, and it was understandably a difficult period to wait to see what would happen to the job I really love. I was contacted personally each day by my direct supervisor Tyler Bastian offering support and really just checking in to see how we were doing. I received a personal phone call after missing several days without service from Bob Rees, a VP in our sales department along with Kristi Henderson in our HR department. My fears of losing employment due to my lack of ability to perform the duties my job required during this difficult time were quickly turned to an appreciation for a company with leadership that care. They were calling me to offer support and I felt I needed to review eHealth to let other potential employees that are wondering what it is like to work here how it feels. I have worked with competitors doing something similar to what we do and my experience was not nearly the same. This is a company that cares, with some of the most innovative technology I have seen and the most open to hearing from employees about how to keep things positive. They listen.
Kontras
I wish that some of the previous co-workers I have worked with that are still with other companies would try employment with eHealth, so more people would have a similar review to post and know what it is like to work for a company that cares.
