Pros
Everyone from the CEO to the interns were very welcoming, and willing to give their take on the company.
Kontras
From the start it was a disaster. The CEO sent me an offer letter in a word doc with a low ball offer. I had to redline and then re-write the entire offer. When I asked for the CEO to send the revised offer via docusign, the response was we don't do that. It was expected that I would print, sign, and scan. My digital signature was eventually accepted.
The company has a very extensive background check. When I was asked for my recent employers, I provided the PEOs that were my employers of record. I had to explain this to the CEO multiple times, and my references were asked about this as well. She thought my resume was fabricated, though the background check came back to confirm my employment history.
The C suite clearly doesn't trust it's employees. For example, only certain employees are allowed to have keys to the office suite. One day 3 of us sat outside the office for an hour waiting for someone with a key to show up.
The C suite is totally anti automation. The company refuses to embrace new technology to make it run more efficiently.
Management has no vision of where the company should be in 2,3, or 5 years.
All the processes are antiquated.
The company has only one back office employee (HR person). No operation team, or IT team , or now a finance team and it clearly shows. Decisions either aren't made or sit on the CEO's desk for way too long. Then the CEO often doesn't make the decision.
Communication is terrible. For example, when I asked for basic needs to perform the functions of my job, I received an email from the CEO, to my personal email account, informing me that I was fired. I replied to that email with several questions that were never answered.
