Management does not provide a forum for any communication forget an open communication, so employees have to use alternate methods like this one. When management says open door policy it means open for only one way traffic, they give orders and employees are supposed to put on blinders and follow the orders without any opinions or questions. Favoritism is rampant, so is nepotism as well as hire and fire culture. Promotions are handed to the same set of people in the inner circle and based on skin color. This isn't a startup anymore, don't be fooled: creativity, fun, and basic manners have left the building. The erratic tendencies and overconfidence in their own wisdom and judgement that the management has demonstrated over the years are inconsistent with strong leadership and sound decision-making. The 'leadership' team is a mess: latent conflicts, no real connection to the rest of the company, constant turn over and lack of transparency. This leads to strategic stumbles that the company can ill afford. If you're considering working here, but something in your gut is making you unsure, follow your instincts and go with your other options, or go unemployed until you find a place you can be happy.
