Pros
Free Friday bagels. Annual parties that are occasionally good. Most employees in non management roles are decent people.
Kontras
I still have good friends working there. Their response to coronavirus outbreak this past month is a good example why you don't want to work for this company. When every other company involved in software development and services already announced various measures like suspending travel and telling their employees to stay home and work remotely, Xifin people distributed clorox napkins to employee desks. If that does not convince you to stay away from this company, here are more pointers... C-level executives and most leadership are wound-up ancient boomers, as a result there is a weird uptight culture and vibe around the office. Not very flexible environment, you would feel uncomfortable and in-secure to WFH. Most communication is over email or f2f. Modern communication tools like slack/teams are barely utilized to their potential. Technology stack is outdated. Leaves you no scope to get training and opportunities to work on new technologies. Most work is patching old poorly written code and frameworks. Most managers lack leadership skills, so there is no scope of empowering you and enabling you to go above and beyond and be successful. Lot of tribal knowledge. CTO hoarding knowledge, access and resistance to relinquish control is one such bad example. You will most likely never get a promotion, they hire seniors and managers from outside who eventually leave. All the bad reviews about the management are true and pretty accurate!
