Leadership has gone through multiple transitions over the last few years. Its really disconcerting. Lots of instability before covid and only worse during covid. If our organization didn't get the PPP funds we did, we'd likely be collapsing or having to use more of the unrestricted endowment funds that the organization has already been digging into. I won't be here for long and will miss my colleagues, but its toxic at the leadership level. I am also concerned that donors see on the organizational 990 that World Learning finds a way to come close to a break even budget but net assets are going down--and not just because of depreciation--and revenue in general is going down (collapsed in 2020 with covid). If the organization loses more donors or it loses any of its government contracts, then its likely to shrink tremendously or collapse--just my hypothesis but its pretty tenuous. SIT graduate institute is already a failed school (not philosophically, but financially and the leadership is inept).
