Pros
Wiser is a place where you'll learn at pace. Plenty companies use that messaging, but at Wiser you can really carve out a space for yourself where you can get stuck into interesting work with genuinely interesting clients. I started my career there broadly knowing I wanted to work at the intersection of creativity and business, and I can safely say that every brief that came my way fell exactly in that space. If you're someone who enjoys hard work and the reward it brings, then Wiser is for you. You can get stuck into varied and challenging creative briefs. In my time there, I pitched to CEOs, travelled the world and got to experience industries across the board. You'll also celebrate amazing moments with your team and discover that even when it's tough, there's always a laugh to be had. When it comes to leadership, there are some brilliant mentors at Wiser. Broadly, growth is encouraged rather than constrained, and you can develop your own leadership style - whether you're in a management role or a more autonomous one. Wiser has gone through a lot of evolution and change over the past decade, and it has morphed into a very creative environment. People are open to collaboration and working as a team is encouraged. Resource is occasionally a challenge still - so expect sometimes challenging hours. But if you deliver quality work on time, and set boundaries, really this isn't a major issue!
Kontras
When it comes to work–life balance, the hours can be long and most people are in the office around four days a week. If you thrive in an in-person environment, that’s a real plus. But it can feel less accommodating if you prefer a more flexible or hybrid setup. To their credit, they’re very upfront about this, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise. Something else to be mindful of — not a con, but just reality — is that even though Wiser specialises in employer branding, it doesn’t mean the culture is flawless. Like any company, there’s a bit of politics in the mix. Advice to anyone joining is just don’t expect Disneyland. It doesn’t exist anywhere!
