Pros
Good people, good for experience in your resume (even if is a bad experience), safe and respectful work environment and good learning. Charity donations too. Lunch at El Toro! (Just ask they will tell you where it is)
Kontras
I'll start with the compensation obviously as is in the low end for a System Analyst in the industry, the workload can be stressful and overwhelming, the micromanagement sucks, as in other helpdesk roles you will work with some entitled customers even though the company is very strategic in how they chose their clients. I agree with some of the low rated and high rated reviews that I have being reading as I got to go through it all. For example I remember the Junior System Analysts doing more work than most of the tier 1 and tier 2 engineers and their pay was horrible and their plate was always full. (FYI I was a tier 1 not a JSA) Now I can understand that some of this junior analysts started learning and they where suppose to earn their position and rate eventually but it actually got to a point where they were doing more that most people and for me that should not had waited to be compensated for. I've seen other medium size business with apprenticeship programs that better compensate and put the engineers into the right path without having to go through what some of this kids had to go through. I don't want to make it sound like they were being totally abused either cause again as I said before Wingswept is a good and safe work environment is just that for me that treatment was not fair. With that being said, Wingswept is not a bad place, it was for me because of my aspirations, ambition and they way I like to work we could say. For example most of the employees that I know that have left the company from the helpdesk team are currently in better positions with renamed companies with better compensation, benefits and still enjoying a good work culture. For me is not just about the money but also about the work culture, career growth and learning. We could say that you can have that in Wingswept maybe in the long run, but when comparing where I am today to when I was working for this company the difference is absolutely way too much. Also nothing personal here I really want WS to be better as there are still people there working that I feel are undervalued for what they bring to the table. This is my perspective I could be wrong I could be right I guess it all depends on the point of view.
