Pros
There are still a few people here that are dedicated, hard working and bright. We used to have lots of very knowledgable employees in embedded systems that knew how to work real time operating system applications in a very robust and effective manner.
Kontras
Upper management is out of touch and operates in silos or fiefdoms. Intel has made this place less effective and more cookie cutter and corporate. There is a huge rift between younger and older employees. Lots of entitlement from longer term employees - it's hard to get results from them, and they are always taking time off during critical periods of product and application development. The mid level managers here are way out of kilter with reality and how to treat people. It's turned into a dismal work environment over the past few years. CEO Mainz was just let go - they are now putting marketing managers in charge of our company, and risk alienating engineers even further, but I don't think they care because they have moved most, if not all engineering functions to the Chinese Development Centre.
