Pros
Procurement organization had good mentors, cool projects, very concerned (about taxpayer dollars) team, great place to continued education and/or get a second degree. Lots of history. You get out of it what you put into it.
Kontras
Funding was limited. Good ole boys club. Work is very VERY compartmentalized, this is due to the ingrained culture that was there during the Manhattan project. You can be lazy here if you want to i.e. people are lazy and protected.
