Pros
The best reason for working for Walmart is the associates. As an associate I can say that we treat each other as family. Some of us came in with the expectation of just having a job. Since we see each other more than we see our families, we have made walmart our extended family. We have a close friendship, well at my store anyway.
Kontras
Management does poor job of communicating with employees. There does not seem to be much transparency between departments. They are also giving positions to people who have no clue in what they are doing. I feel like this is true retaliation and gender discrimination in its finest form. If you are a male member of management or a supervisor you can come in late and leave early as you wish with no consequences. If you are a female then you are pushed to your limits and then coached repeatedly when you complain. Then you have assistants that makes it very clear that they doesn't like you. They gossip to other associates about you and then threatens you with slander if you say anything about associates. This is not how Walmart is supposed to be. I can only hope and pray that something is done to help.
