Pros

A new schedule of 3 days of work with 3 days off has improved balance of work and personal life for co-managers and assistant managers. This is a very good plus. The problem is that it is not implemented in all stores consistently as the way the company expects.

Kontras

Poor salary versus other companies at all levels - hourly and salary. You are treated as a number and not as a person. Market (district) level management and up have very poor leadership and interpersonal skills. They are rude and very unprofessional. The entire company needs to emphasize professionalism and leadership skills. The company is also still reducing labor hours in the stores, so staffing is very minimal. One person in some cases is responsible for more than 3000 sq ft of area! It's impossible for one person to do so much work.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Kontras

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
