Pros
Granted time off when needed for emergencies-- good flexibility with scheduling, a lot of my co-workers were fantastic. One weekend off per month (if you ask for it) better than a lot of places
Kontras
Where to begin? Poor pay, hours are all over the place, management doesn't respect you, the customers are jerks and management will take their side more often than not, little chance for advancement if you're a good worker but management doesn't like you. Also, in order to "cut costs" there will be the absolute minimum help scheduled and you're expected to pick up the slack. I know of times on busy holidays when there were people on the floor expected to do not only their job, but the job of one or two other people as well, along with helping customers with whatever they needed. The company plays favorites big time, backstabbing and bickering among co-workers and management is the norm. If someone has a problem with you they'll most likely go to management on you behind your back instead of talking to your face like an adult-- and that's what management wants. It's a very High School atmosphere.
