Idle time as brief as five minutes is automatically unpaid, creating relentless pressure to stay visibly active. Management enforces this with passive-aggressive check-ins for any drop in activity metrics, prioritizing surveillance over meaningful results. The oppressive monitoring leaves employees feeling “chained to their desks,” enduring constant stress to avoid penalties. Over time, I've realized that this system is deliberately set up to push employees to their limits, attempting to cut their pay while squeezing out maximum productivity. Leadership is arrogant and doesn't care at all, often dismissing employee concerns about well-being, workload, and compensation. This rigid, surveillance-heavy environment fosters burnout and undermines morale, overshadowing the potential for collaboration and growth.
