Pros
The people at WNET are the greatest. They are very smart, nice, hardworking and have a great attitude. The office is located in a great neighborhood. You will also get a lot of days off - 20 PTO days to start, the week between Christmas and New Years off, and half days before every three day weekend.
Kontras
Everything else. The senior managers are awful and lack a coherent vision for the future. The CEO is obsessed with news programming and is pretty much only focused on that. His first creation WorldFocus left the company in a bad state (and with lots of layoffs) and his newer creation, MetroFocus, is another subpar programming that is a top priority for the station. There is also very little accountability for the senior staff, as the board of trustee just goes along with everything and doesn't question what they are being told. WNET is also very top heavy and believes in paying employees well if you are at a particular level. if you are starting out, then look out for low salaries with maybe a yearly merit increase of 3%. Since most managers don't manage, there is very little oversight of the staff. It is easy to get stuck and comfortable there and just stagnate.
