Pros

The VDI space was interesting and potentially lucrative and VB had some interesting technology.

Kontras

Company had issues from the start. Over-reliance on the IBM partnership, suspect product quality, dependence on questionable Asia-Pac deals, etc. That said, the single biggest issue was the "leadership" of Sam Cece. He took a high-potential company, albeit one that was clearly struggling, and destroyed it within a year. Lies to AV to fund his office drinking problem was the strategy. I would also advise anyone reading these reviews to look through the series of positive reviews all coming in over the past 2 months. Strike anyone as curious?

Pros

Startups and restarts are not for the immature...nor the inexperienced. Sam (who "has the tshirt") empowered his team with the freedom to make decisions and take action...that can be too much for some people who are used to simply doing what they are told. Accountability can be a tough task master...especially in this type of environment. If you deliver on your commits, Sam is the best. I'd work for him again anytime..

Kontras

Bridge Point building location is abysmal

Pros

Decisive leader who was able to take a completely dysfunctional organization and turn it into a growth engine. CEO was able to quickly and accurately assess the old management team and make impactful immediate changes which brought about sustained improvement in every aspect of the business. Virtual Bridges was a disaster being held together by duct tape and lies. Sam turned it into an accountable and committed organization with a culture of integrity and performance. Sure you had to be willing to work very hard, but, shouldn't that be expected in every startup? I can only assume that the person who bashed Sam was one of the dysfunctional individuals that ruined Virtual Bridges.

Kontras

Tough market, tougher competition. The VDI market has always been a hyper competitive space and when your primary difference is Linux, it makes it tough on every aspect of the organization, from development to marketing to sales.
