As much as they say that they don't, they put production over safety. Things don't get fixed and employees are forced to work with equipment that is fixed enough to get it going again (band aided) but it is not fixed correctly and it usually fails shortly after, if it does last longer the band aid becomes a permanent fix. Takes a long time to get moved to a different job that you bid to because there are not enough people to train on move-up jobs.
