Pros

If you have the right personal morale (despite all the company's endless and ridiculous policies in scripting, cutting down call times and getting rid of customers as quickly as possible by pushing them off onto other people) you'll have the chance to provide clients who are looking for insurance with great service. If you are not one who actually wants to help customers, however, this company is perfect for you. The break rooms are always stocked, ac, your own chair and desk... Nothing much more than a typical office job.

HR and various leadership officials do not care about you, your medical problems, your family, or any other situations that may come about. Hardly anyone lasts, HR will terminate employees for no good reason at all and expect current employees to pick up the slack left behind after termination of a coworker. Mandatory overtime, but no benefits, untouchable bonuses, "company policies" that apply to only those who HR and management decides to enforce on (of course, not themselves). Management will strictly enforce a new policy one day then change their mind and change it the next because it isn't working but also making it seem as though they weren't the ones who brought it about in the first place. In a nutshell, they don't care about their employees, offer bonuses which are not obtainable, and blame all their problems and misinterpretations on their employees instead of addressing real issues.

As a function of our many and varied relationships with partners, there are high expectations for scripting and branding. However, we’re updating our systems and training to makes the process more streamlined, allowing the focus to be on consultative insurance sales, which has always been VelaPoint’s goal. We’ve also rolled out new bonus programs as well as group benefits for eligible full-time employees. If you feel your manager has failed to meet your needs with regard to a medical or family issue, please feel free to contact Human Resources. The CEO, Aaron Goddard, also has an “open email policy,” meaning you can email him about any issue you find yourself experiencing at work. We want all of our employees to be healthy and well-cared for.

Base pay for a sales job, Good culture and training, actual follow the values they preach - we don't defraud people like some agencies I've seen.
