Prepare purchase orders for inventory orders and present for management approval
• Work with Sourcing and Marketing Departments to maintain the inventory item database for relevant purchasing data (factory, pricing, reorder points, etc.)
• Work with in-house factory liaisons for order follow-up and receive updates on the fulfillment of each order
• Continually update the status of each order including production status, expected completion, expected delivery, and expected payment due dates
• Work with Accounts Payable to ensure vendor records are complete and accurate
• Place and track deposits on orders, ensure payments are applied
• Develop and maintain needed lines of communication with parties in and outside of the company to accomplish objectives
