Pros
After reading some of the negative reviews, it is quite clear from the writing style/word choices that the same person has contributed to several posts. This is not only unfair to potential employees, but unfair to the company as a whole. Here's a different spin on my experience here and for the record, I am not related to the family and have been at UAS for over 2 years now. This isn't a huge corporation where you're just another employee number, it's a family-style environment and my fellow co-workers are personable and great to work with. UAS has many yearly events that not only give back to the community, kids and families alike - but internal parties that are fun for employees (Halloween, Holiday party, Hawaiian day, etc.). Some negative reviewers failed to mention one of the biggest events - the annual Dave & Buster's party where the President rents out the ENTIRE place for us and our families - free game play, free food, free prizes, employee of the year awards, etc...did I mention FREE? I guarantee those same negative reviewers attended (and enjoyed) the parties despite their feedback on this site towards UAS. How many companies share that kind of generosity? A 'job' is only what you make of it - like anything else in life. If you want it to remain just a job - then it will. If you want to make it a career, then your effort every day will prove that and get you to the next step. UAS definitely seems to recognize and award employees who excel and go the extra mile. There is absolutely room and potential for growth here, but you have to work for it.
Kontras
Some have complained about gossip with co-workers...but you will be hard-pressed to find any business that doesn't share that same commonality. It is a very, very small con. I might agree that more PTO days would be great and the ability to carry some over, but again, who wouldn't want more days?
