I worked on a unique team with great immediate colleagues.
Kontras
No support from managers to career advance. Leadership at a manager level and higher are inadequate and do not walk the talk. I suspect mid-managers are overwhelmed but no excuse for higher ups that are being paid big bucks to simply maintain the status quo. Leadership touts DEI principles and values like patient engagement but it is tokenistic at best.
